According to CoinDesk, DBS Bank Singapore plans to launch tokenized physical gold trading to retail customers in the second half of 2026. The product, called DBS Physical Gold Token, will be backed by 1 gram of physical gold held by DBS in a dedicated vault in Singapore. Each token will be issued and managed by DBS and may be listed on the bank's digital trading exchange for qualified investors.
