Gate News message, April 21 — The Iranian cargo ship Shoja 2 is reportedly transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to maritime tracking data from MarineTraffic. The vessel departed from Shahid Rajaee Port near Bandar Abbas and is headed toward the Port of Kandla in India.

The Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of all globally traded oil passes, has experienced periods of disruption amid regional tensions. Earlier footage released by US Central Command showed US Marines boarding an Iranian tanker near the strait after reportedly damaging its engine room.

The transit claim has not been independently confirmed beyond MarineTraffic data.
